










We did an assessment on a home in Irvington, Alabama recently - and what we found under that house was a lot to take in. Moisture damage, wood decay, fungal growth, and signs of pest activity. Not one problem. Multiple. And none of them visible from inside the home.

What we documented here is a good example of how fast things can compound when moisture gets into a crawl space with no proper remediation or encapsulation in place. The wood framing showed heavy fungal growth and decay across multiple members - the kind of deterioration that weakens the structural support your floors rely on. On top of that, there were clear signs of pest activity and debris scattered throughout, which only makes conditions worse over time.
A thorough inspection like this is what gives homeowners a clear picture of what they're actually dealing with. No guessing. You know exactly where the moisture is coming from, what wood is compromised, what needs fungus treatment, and what repairs need to happen before encapsulation can do its job. Skipping the inspection and jumping straight to a fix is how problems get missed.
